THE STUDY

 

 

Mineral Studies  Volume I is a study of material transformation.

 

Celestite.

Malachite.

Bismuth.

Morganite and Amethyst.

 

Four mineral environments.

Four distinct forms of pressure, color, structure, and light.

 

Each work asks the same question:

 

What happens when a mineral is no longer treated as an object to be looked at, but as a world to enter?

 

Here, crystal becomes terrain.

Gold becomes a seam of pressure.

Black stone becomes a fracture line.

Opal becomes light caught beneath the surface.

 

The works do not repeat one another.

 

They move from cold blue crystal and strict geometry, through emerald fault lines and midnight mineral depth, into iridescent metallic structure, then toward rose stone, violet shadow, and gold veined warmth.

THE FOUR STUDIES

 

 

STUDY 01 THE CELESTITE CHEVRON

 

 

Pale sky blue crystal gathers into a dense geometric field.

 

Gold and black stone cut through it in sharp repeating chevrons, while clear quartz and jasper spheres rest inside the ridges like small worlds held in ice.

 

A study in symmetry, cold light, and mineral order.

 

 

STUDY 02  THE MIDNIGHT MALACHITE FAULT

 

 

Deep blue mineral ground gives way to sweeping rivers of emerald malachite.

 

Gold channels, black stone, and flashes of opal fire move through the surface like a fault line that never stopped shifting.

 

A study in movement, depth, and pressure beneath the dark.

 

 

STUDY 03  THE BISMUTH PEACOCK RIDGE

 

 

Iridescent bismuth rises in geometric metallic formations.

 

Turquoise, rose, gold, and indigo flash across its stepped surface, held against pale metallic channels and deep black fissures.

 

A study in structure, reflection, and electric mineral light.

 

 

STUDY 04  THE PINK MORGANITE CANVAS

 

 

Pale peach morganite opens across fields of violet amethyst and black stone.

 

Gold moves through the center as a living seam, carrying warm mineral light through a surface of fracture, shadow, and raised pigment.

 

A study in warmth, rupture, and the quiet force beneath color.
