The Stippled Skeleton In Teal and Pink Pop

The artwork features a human skull, rendered in a bold, pop art style, against a vibrant pink background.

The skull itself is primarily teal, covered in a detailed polka dot or stippling pattern that gives it a unique texture.

The eye sockets, nasal cavity, and the areas beneath the teeth are a deep black, making the white teeth stand out sharply.

The style is graphic and modern, utilizing a high contrast color palette to create a striking visual impact.

Meaning

The meaning behind the piece is centered on themes of mortality, human identity, and kindness.

The work is a reminder to be kinder to one another because "we never know what's going on below the surface".

The use of bright colors like teal and pink, while seemingly contrasting with the morbid subject of a skull, is intended to set an upbeat mood, celebrating life and encouraging a positive perspective on human connection and mortality.
