The Golden Threshold

THE GOLDEN THRESHOLD

BLND PRESTIGE ANTHOLOGY

VOLUME I: THE OPENING PASSAGE

A FOUR PANEL TEXTILE RELIEF INSTALLATION

Before the path appears

the eye opens.

Before the summit is reached

the stair must be climbed.

Before a world can be entered

it must be held.

Before the dark can be crossed

the gold must fall.

THE GOLDEN THRESHOLD is a four part surreal textile relief installation built from deep charcoal velvet raw cream linen hand stitched gold thread and light absorbing black voids.

Every landscape is constructed as a physical fabric monument.

Pleated linen becomes mountain stone.

Velvet becomes night and distance.

Gold embroidery becomes a living path.

Frayed woven edges become weather.

And the eclipse becomes the silent center of the world.

THE FOUR RELICS

THE WITNESS

A colossal embroidered eye opens above a lone traveler

Gold threads descend from its gaze and become the first path through the folded black mountains

THE ASCENT

A solitary figure climbs a monumental staircase of midnight velvet

At its summit a black eclipse burns inside a halo of gold thread

THE HELD CITY

Two immense textile hands cradle a round linen world

Within it stands a golden city suspended in darkness

A whole civilization protected inside a single fragile sphere

THE GOLD FALL

A waterfall of raw gold thread pours from the mountain into a dark basin below

The traveler stands at its edge

Not to escape the darkness

But to receive what it reveals

This is not a collection of four separate images

It is one connected passage

A journey through witness

ascent

preservation

and arrival
